Marketing Analyst (01RNA)

The primary responsibility provide value-added marketing consulting services in the context of campaign planning, reporting and analysis. This person will be responsible for audience planning, offer strategy optimization, in-market results reporting and post-program deep dive analyses with the goal to improve campaign performance and ROI. 
Our campaign analyses drive and inform our strategic recommendations. This hands-on role includes developing marketing treatment measurement plans, spreadsheet / financial analysis, data interpretation and presentation, and coordination with internal/external data teams.
The candidate we are seeking will have direct marketing experience with the ability to balance analytics concepts with hands on campaign operations. More specifically:
Experience in campaign design, audience selection, use of model scores, cell code creation, control group set up, test and learn designs, list pull processes, file layout creation, data processing and appends and campaign reporting prep. The ideal candidate will be able to independently coordinate large scale campaigns and all data needs for reporting between vendor partners and iKnowtion.
Demonstrated project management and client management skills are required. An ability to turn data into insights and recommendations is critical. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think analytically (to mine the data), creatively (to develop program ideas), and strategically (to deliver business results for our clients).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Consulting:
Provide strategic marketing consulting to Fortune 500 clients
Identify opportunities to improve / optimize marketing program performance
Develop marketing campaigns that align with client goals, including targeting recommendations, test & learn opportunities, and financial forecasts 
Manage client relationships and identify opportunities to grow those relationships
Occasional travel

  • Campaign Analysis
Conduct post program analysis of marketing programs with a focus on providing data-driven marketing insights and recommendations
Actively contribute to and manage analytically-oriented projects from inception to delivery, including client communication, internal team management, and the packaging / presentation of deliverables
Ensure proper model score application in list pulls
Support ad-hoc analyses and model development projects

  • Campaign Operations
Coordinate campaign operations between vendor partners and iKnowtion.
Attend meetings during campaign planning phase to assure that campaign is executed according to iKnowtion specs and all data requirements are met for program reporting and analysis
Write campaign file layout specs
Communicate with database and list pull vendor in regards to cell codes, A/B test set up, control group sizing, data appends to the mail file 
Project manage file delivery, and coordinate across multiple teams (we do not coordinate creative and print production, but we are involved in anything mail file related)
QC programming output
Stay on top of database updates 



Qualifications/Experience

  • Analytic thinker with a proven ability to interpret analytic output and translate data into insights and marketing recommendations
  • Campaign management professional with a proven ability to project manage complex campaigns
  • Well-spoken and outgoing as he/she will need to build strong relationships with clients, internal teams and vendor partners.  
  • Experience in conducting database analytics / data-driven marketing with solid understanding of CRM concepts and practices
  • Experience working with large-scale customer databases
  • Understand data requirements for campaign reporting and post program analysis
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
  • Superior proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint
